Deaf-dog caller-collar

The tick-removal strategies in Dog Park Wisdom (trails chapter) came from Cloude Porteus, who tested the technique many times with his dogs, Linus and Lebowski. When he’s not wandering through the high grass near his northern California home harvesting ticks (or, later, removing them), Cloude is VP for product development at instructables.com. I love this site because it embraces the Dog Park Wisdom-spirit of sharing the wisdom of regular folks with the world.

Instructables.com has come a long way in the year since we first talked to Cloude, especially in the area of canine-oriented advice. Among 26 (and counting) dog-specific suggestions, you’ll find an alternative to the post-surgical cone, a knitted dog leash and a vibrating collar for a deaf dog. Check it out, and meanwhile we’ll add instructables to our blogroll.
